how i feel scrolling through my pinterest food board.

a day in the life.

awkward:

• actually spending time getting ready this morning, only to get to class looking like a drowned cat. with frozen hair. i should have just turned back and put on a jacket with a hood. or grabbed an umbrella. or i could have skipped out on walking under that tree and bumping my head on the branch and getting water dumped all over me.
• frozen rain=shuffling/skating/slipping up hill to campus. hello unintentional ice rink of death.
• skipping the gym this morning in favor of extra sleep and feeling super bloated and tubby for the rest of the day.
• the fact that i didn't check the mirror before i left this morning. turns out that getting dressed in the dark isn't the greatest idea...
• the almost fight that went down in my english novel class today.
• getting checked out by a freshman boy that walked by me when i was at work. (would that be awesome? i can't decide. it was pretty awkward...although my coworker found it funny...)

awesome:

• actually understanding things in my french review today. quelle chance!! (hehe)
• fabulous chicken salad sandwich for lunch.
• pandora win. work today was great because i had hilary duff and journey and cascada singing about everytime we touch, and anyway i want it, and this is what dreams are made of.
• actually only falling down once. i'm quite proud of myself.
• talking to a friend i hadn't seen in awhile in said french review.
• my cousin dyed my hair again and it's absolutely perfect. i love everything about it. love love love love love!!

The voice

Hi. I watch the voice. and I like it. and the fact that I like it enough to write about it... makes me feel like I need to shut down my Internet for a week and read.

 

I am going to justify it and say I am enriching my mind with musical education. yup going with it.

 

I watched it last season. and frankly I don't even remember who won. I don't think I cared for them much.

 

This season my favorites are  Mackenzie Bourg, Terry Mcdermott, and Melanie Martinez. They just really stood out to me from the beginning. and I just love them more and more.

 

 

Mckenzie is Jane's hipster love. ( I think it's hipster week) and when he said call me maybe... I said it was nice knowing you ( see what I did there. clever eh?)  I thought all his adorable hipster Harry Potter-ness would vanish..... nope still got it.

Cee lo... creeps me out

Christina... needs better clothes and wants to create an army of Minny x-tina's and drive me insane with her use of x-tina. seriously. stop. now.

Blake.. I used to like. but now its like a lot of styles go way over his head and he mumbles something about pitch instead of coaching.

Adam. has a funny smile where his eyes disappear. and he is great.

 

Ok I am done... and I should go to bed... and turn of my laptop... and read a book... or get a life... or vow to never talk about reality tv again.

I went to the zoo on my way home today to see the zoo's latest addition. This darling little creature doesn't have a name yet, but she is 11 days old and was put on display yesterday.

 She is tiny and wrinkly and perfect!

Once upon a time I got really sick and had to move back home to be babied for a while... like eight months.

 Now I am mostly better, but find myself with no job, and basically no life until I get to move back to school later this month. 

So in the meantime 

 I'll read a book

Or maybe two or three

I'll add a few new paintings

I'll play guitar and knit and cook

And basically

Just wonder, when will my life begin..

and ... watch Disney movies in Spanish to try to pretend those three years taught me something

 I could basically be Rapunzel.. except you know the whole having hair and Zachary Levi thing . dang.

Move

When I was pretty little, maybe five or six, my mother signed me and my best friend/cousin up for a tap and ballet class.

 I remember loving it. Racing to be the first one to switch shoes, galloping around the room like ponies to warm up, and perfecting my plie. 

My mom remembers I begged her every day to quit. I don't quite recall that part.

I kinda regret not continuing dance, although when I think about it.. I don't know what I would have done with it. join my highschool dance team? no thanks.

I might take a dance class one of these semesters though. just for fun.

The only claim to fame I have left over from my dancing days is I do get asked fairly often if I am a dancer, (I think it's because I subconsciously point my toes all the time), and I love a good dance routine. here are a few favorites

Really. I'm a little bit obsessed with this man. Fine By Me is frankly adorable.

I once saw this in my institute class and I have loved it ever since. I strive to be like this man and live an optimistic life. It's a little long, but it's worth the watch.

A) I kind of love this song.

B) They're baseball players.

C) SUPER attractive.

D) The kid in the back asleep the whole time? Gold.

A Capella? Yes Please.

I had a fabulous Memorial day weekend full of good food, family, and friends.. oh, and a little a capella. Actually it was more like a lot of super amazing a capella. My local outdoor theater hosted three of the stars from this last season of The Sing Off, in an amazing Memorial day concert.

My favorite group by far, although they were all fun and very talented, was Pentatonix. I have loved them from day one on the show. They aren't human.

The low end, namely Avi and Kevin are absolutely amazing. Basically they had the whole Ampatheater vibrating.

Afterwards we got our fangirl on, and went to get photos and pictures. The foxy gentleman of Vocal Point and I chatted it up about how fun the concert was and how A Capella just makes you feel good. True Story. And the talented Scott of Pentatonix complimented my use of the word kosher haha. 

All in all it was an amazing night and one of the best and just downright fun concerts I have ever been too, These people are crazy talented.

Made me Smile :)
