Mouth guards.. for your feet!

Remember a a while ago, when I posted about how my favorite house shoes happen to be crocs? yup. well, I also wear them out to my pool quite often, and who would of known?.. they shrink in the sun.  Quite a bit...

So trusty google told me to boil them in a pot of water and wear them to stretch them out. I have boiled a lot of mouth guards in my time, so the concept made sense. I tried it.. oh man! love!

Not only do they fit again, but they fit better all over. they don't flop around on my feet like duck feet anymore. marvelous!

So, my dear friends. If you own a pair of crocs that have been caught by the sun, or simply want crocs that feel like custom orthodontics for your feetsies.

dip them in a pot of boiling water for several seconds

Pull them out and CAREFULLY. don't burn your self put them on you feet and walk around

dip them in cold water after they have molded. I stuck them in my tub and ran water with them on.

Enjoy your new custom footwear.

Nifty Little Things: CHI Silk Infusion

CHI
Silk Infusion

This is my favorite hair product of all time! My hair is naturally curly and I strongly dislike it, so my hair is no stranger to the flat iron and hair damage. But this product has made all the difference!

The Benefits:
  • Protects your hair from heat damage.
  • The smell is unbelievable. No joke, people have caught me smelling my hair after using this product.
  • You hair is incredibly soft after using.
  • It creates that silky shine that every girl loves without making the hair look greasy.
  • Reduces the frizz!

Warnings:
  • Don't use too much (a dime size will do) or else your hair will look greasy.
  • It's a little pricey but it actually works and it is worth the little extra.

I use CHI Silk Infusion anytime I apply heat to my hair. Even if I use heat products on my hair twice a day (like a blow dryer and a flat iron) I use it both times. The 2nd time is a little less, but doing that insures protection. I recommend this to anyone who is looking to have their hair be healthier this summer and the seasons that follow.

Nifty Little Things: Eye Drops

This little bottle is probably my favorite item I have in my make up bag.

It has an absolute plethora of uses, Ok. maybe more like two, but they are really big Change your life type uses. so listen up!

First off. you know it takes the redness out of your eyes, but did you know it does the same magic on your face? True Story! put a drop on your finger and dab it on your blemishes and as it dries it sucks the red right out! amazing. It only lasts a few hours, but I just throw it in my purse and we are good to go! It feels so much better than caking on concealer.

Secondly, this stuff will re hydrate your liquid and gel makeup products. It makes my mascarra last so much longer. when it starts to get dried out just put about three drops into the tube. for a "starving college student" this is a blessing for sure. It also saved my favorite pot of gel liner that I accidentally left the lid off for several days. It was so shriveled and hard! I covered it in Visine and we had a joyous reunion.
